Detailed Itinerary
Day 1:
Arrive Cairo
Arrival at Cairo International Airport
Meet and assist by Representative
Transfer by Coach / Bus and overnight at Hotel
Day 2: Cairo\City Tour
This morning you will enjoy an orientation tour of Cairo,
including Central and Old Cairo, its Coptic and Islamic
monuments. There will be time allowed for
photography. In the afternoon, we visit the fabled Egyptian
Museum. Please note that flash and tripod photography are not
allowed here or in most museums and
archaeological sites.
Day 3: Giza/Sakkara
We visit the Pyramids at Giza before heading further south to
the Step Pyramid at Sakkara and on to the old capitol of
Memphis.
Day 4: Old Cairo
The day is for Kan El-Khalily, the famous old market area of
Cairo. The afternoon is free to relax or to revisit sites of
special interest to you. In the
evening, we board the night train for Aswan. TRAIN.
Day 5: Aswan
We arrive in Aswan about noon. In the afternoon or early
evening, we will visit Phiala Temple.
Day 6: Aswan/Abu Simbel
We travel by van to the majestic Abu-Simbel temple complex where
we overnight at a hotel before returning to Aswan after sunrise.
Day 7: Aswan
We return to Aswan where the remainder of the day is at leisure.
There will be opportunities to visit Kitchener's Island, Nubian
villages, and the
unfinished, Aswan red granite obelisk.
Day 8: Aswan/Felucca
We begin our felucca trip to Edfu. FELUCCA.
Day 9: Felucca/Kom-Ombo
Our felucca arrives at Kom-Ombo , which we visit before
continuing on our journey. FELUCCA
Day 10: Felucca/Edfu/Luxor
We arrive at Edfu and visit its famous temple complex before
catching a mini-van to drive us to Luxor.
Day 11: Luxor (West Bank)
We visit the West Bank of Luxor: the Valley of the Kings,
Hatshaput's Temple, The Valley of Queens and Nobels, and the
Colossi of Memmnon.
Day 12: Luxor (East Bank)
We concentrate on the East Bank and visit Karnak temple and
Luxor temple as well as the small but exquisite Luxor Museum. We
take the night train back to
Cairo. TRAIN.
Day 13: Cairo
In Cairo, the day is free to do errands, rest, or plan for the
next stage of our journey.
Day 14: Fayoum Oasis/Western Oases
We travel to the natural gardens of El Fayoum Oasis and then
drive on to Baharyia Oasis where we camp.
Day 15: Baharya Oasis
The desert is our destination, and we view Crystal Mountain,
unique sand dunes, and the White Desert. The night is spent
under the desert stars.
Day 16: Baharya Oasis
We visit the Black Desert, English House, and hot and cold
springs before returning to our campsite at Baharyia Oasis.
Day 17: Cairo
We return to Cairo. In the evening, we visit the Sound and Light
show at the Pyramids, a fitting climax to our travels.
Day 18: Depart Cairo
Transfer to airport.
Good-by to Egypt, a land in which you now feel at home.

All rates quoted are
per person based on double occupancy, land only (airfare is not
included). A single supplement is available for 250US$ extra per
person.
Please note that occupancy standards do not apply except for
hotel accommodations.
Breakfast and dinner are included everyday. For much of the
trip, lunch is also included.
Price includes all airport transfers and assistance, baggage
handling
Price includes English speaking guides and air-conditioned
ground transportation.
If a change in itinerary or hotel is necessary, Gate4Egypt will
select a hotel or activity of equal or better quality than the
one listed in the itinerary.
Hotels will be at least 3 Star as established by Egyptian law.
Prices are subject to change without notice. However, if a
change is necessary, each guest will be given the opportunity to
withdraw from the trip with a
full refund of deposit. NO rate changes will be made within 45
days of departure.
No refunds shall be made for any unused portions of the trip.
Payments are due as follows: 250US$ per person to confirm a
reservation. The balance is due 45 days prior to departure.
Except as noted in #6. No refunds of deposit will be made. Trip
insurance is recommended.
While making every effort to assure our guests a safe and
comfortable journey, "Gate4Egypt", it's agents, or
representatives cannot and will not accept any
responsibility for any personal loss or personal injury incurred
by a guest during this trip. Each guest is responsible for his
or her personal belongings.
Guests should bring extra supplies of personal medicines.
Evacuation insurance is recommended for those having a
problematic medical history.
Guests are responsible for obtaining their own air
transportation and visas. Please note that visas can be obtained
at the airport in Cairo for 15US$.
Entrance fees to museums and other sites are NOT included.
Students should obtains and INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ID (your
college ID will not suffice) . Most
archaeological sites and museums charge a LE 20 admission fee
(4.50 US$) with a discount from 30 to 50 per-cent for students.
The tour price is 660 U$D per person,
based on double occupancy. There is a 130 U$D single supplement
charge. |
