GIZA - SAKKARA - MEMPHIS

Morning visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx. A short stop for lunch, then we drive to Sakara, the vast Necropolis of ancient Memphis. There are two Pyramid groups in Dahshur. The two biggest Pyramids are the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid. The Bent Pyramid gets its name from the fact the the angle of the slope changes 3/4 of the way up. The Red Pyramids name comes from the limestone from which it was built.
